Till Next Year - Happy Holidays!
Hello All!
I will be headed back to California on Monday to spend the holidays with my family. I am committed to bringing you guys new and better deals in the new year. My own New Year’s Resolution is to make the DC Wine Collective into a bonafide business with retailer’s licenses, business permits, etc. This process might take a while, but I think it’ll be worth it....

Sold Out: 2003 Ridge Vineyards Santa Cruz...
Hello Again, All!
I am happy to report that we are sold out after little more than 1 hour! Yay to us! I managed to procure 15 bottles of this wine.
Thank you to everyone for letting me bombard you with e-mails (periodically), and thank you to those of you who purchased. Again, I will be contacting you directly to arrange payment and delivery.
Just in Time for the Holidays: A Gift-Worthy...
Hello All!
It’s been a very long time since the last wine deal. Much has happened since that time: for instance, I took the California Bar Exam (and waiting anxiously for the results). I also have decided to stay in DC, forsaking the halcyon skies of California for love, opportunity, and strangely enough, wine.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and you will be hearing about...

May 17 Deal: Four French Wines
Congratulations to GW Law’s Class of 2011! It was a pleasure to have attended school with you these past three years.
For those of you who have graduated, you will now be moving on to bigger and better things—after the bar. Before you get too much into studying, however, you should be sure to relax and have fun. I don’t think there’s any better to do those than to have...

Amalgamated Update on DCWBC
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on this Tumblr site. For that I blame a few factors: law school, lack of time, and a re-aggravated back injury (yikes!). That being said, I wanted to post very quickly here so you know what’s been going on with the DCWBC.

From California, With Love: Stolpman Vineyards
Over Winter Break I was able to pay a visit to Santa Barbara County wine country. Such a beautiful place! If there’s a place that looks like what heaven must look like, it must be Santa Barbara: the coast immediately to the west, holding at bay the crashing sea—the hills to the east, covered in goats and horses and vines and trees—the vineyards themselves, gnarled brown-gray...

Wines to Cook With: January 25 Deal is Up!
Hello All,
Thank you so much for your patience. It took me a while to shake off the post-finals, new semester blues. Now that I’ve shaken them, however, I’ve realized three things. First, it’s cold as heck out there! Second, I have no “everyday wines” in my cellar (that is, the drawer that serves as my cellar). Third, I really have a hankering to cook dinner and...

The 2007 John Duval "Plexus" Is Here!
This looks pretty delicious. I don’t know what you guys think about screwtops, but they are regarded as much more reliable than traditional cork closures.

Le 15 octobre affaire est arrivé!
The October 15th deal arrived yesterday—all 71 glorious bottles of wine (and one bottle of St. Germaine). My room is a mess, what with the boxes and bottles strewn around. It also doesn’t help the cleanliness of my place when I have produce from Arganica for me and my residents to distribute as well, but it certainly does wonders for my sense of well-being.
All in all: the...
Cold Weather Reds: October 15 Deal is Up!
Hey All,
It’s that time of month again: time for a new deal from the DC Wine Buyers Collective!
As much as I love whites and rosés, the turning of the weather—and its concomitant change in foods and moods—has made me crave fuller, more substantial reds. Hence, this newest deal features SEVEN outstanding reds, all from France and two, in particular, from the French collectivité...

Deal for September 19!
Thank you for your patience regarding the previous order. Due to producer delays, the ship carrying our wines left France only two days ago. It should hopefully be available to pick up by the end of the month.
That being said, our next deal is from MacArthur Beverages, which is located in the Georgetown Palisades neighborhood. The inventory is in their store so the turnaround time...
